Generate every combination of your word lists
Some jobs need every possible pairing of a few word sets: product names built from adjectives and nouns, domain ideas, ad keywords, usernames, hashtags or test data. Writing them out by hand is tedious, and a spreadsheet formula is overkill for a quick list. The Word Combiner takes your lists and produces each combination in a few milliseconds.
There are two modes. Combine lists joins one word from each list, in order, to create phrases such as “cheap running shoes online”. Mix one list takes a single list and builds ordered pairs or triples from it. Both modes let you choose a separator, add a prefix or suffix, change the letter case and remove duplicates.
The tool runs in your browser, so your brainstorming stays private. To keep things responsive, results are capped at 50,000 lines, and the tool tells you when a list would exceed that.
How to use the Word Combiner
- Pick Combine lists to join words across lists, or Mix one list to pair words from the same list.
- Type or paste your words, one per line. You can add up to six lists.
- Choose a separator, then add any prefix, suffix or letter case you need.
- Press Combine words. The count of results appears above the output box.
- Copy the result, or download it as a text file.

Tips for better results
- Use the example button to see how the lists and options fit together before you add your own words.
- Choose the hyphen or no separator when you are brainstorming domain names.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the two modes?
Combine lists takes one word from each list in order, so list A and list B give A+B phrases. Mix one list builds ordered pairs or triples from a single list.
How many lists can I use?
Up to six in combine mode, with at least two filled in.
Is there a limit on results?
Yes, 50,000 lines per run. If your lists would produce more, the tool shows the first 50,000 and tells you the full number.
Can I add quotation marks around every result?
Yes. Type a quotation mark in both the prefix and suffix boxes.
What does remove duplicates do?
It drops identical lines from the output, which is useful when the same word appears in more than one list.
Are my words uploaded?
No. All the work happens in your browser.
Can I choose a different separator?
Yes. Pick Custom from the separator menu and type anything you like, such as a slash or a dot.
